About PTFC
The Future of Striking
Where the art of the kick meets the intensity of professional combat.
Our Mission
The Pro Taekwondo Fighting Championship (PTFC) was founded with a singular vision: to elevate Taekwondo from an Olympic sport into a premier professional combat league. We believe the world's most dynamic kicking art deserves its own global stage — one that matches the production quality, intensity, and spectacle of the biggest names in combat sports.
PTFC isn't an adaptation. It's a new format built from the ground up — purpose-designed for professional Taekwondo athletes who want to compete at the highest level under rules that showcase what makes their art exceptional.

What Makes PTFC Different
The Octagon Arena
No cage. No ropes. PTFC fighters compete in a custom-built octagonal arena with padded walls — delivering unobstructed 360° viewing and an unmatched atmosphere for fans.
Kicks Reign Supreme
All kicks to the head and body are legal. Punches are limited to the body only. This isn't MMA or kickboxing — this is a striking art elevated to its purest professional form.
Taekwondo DNA
Fighters bow before battle. Traditional commands open every round. The spirit and discipline of Taekwondo is woven into every element of the competition.
10 Weight Divisions
From Strawweight to Super-Heavyweight across men's and women's divisions. Every weight class has a championship belt and a path to gold.
The Format
Rounds & Minutes
Standard bouts are three rounds of three minutes with one-minute rest periods.
Championship Rounds
Title fights are five rounds — designed for warriors who can sustain elite output.
Open-Finger Mitts
Official PTFC combat mitts allow natural hand movement while protecting fighters.
Point Must System
Three ringside judges score each round using the 10-point must system.
Legal Techniques
Kicking
All kicks to the frontline and side of the head, and torso above the beltline. Leg kicks are prohibited.
Punching
Hand strikes to the body only. Punches to the head and face are strictly prohibited.
Takedowns & Sweeps
Sweeps and reaps connecting below the opponent's knee are legal. No single or double leg takedowns.
Ground-and-Pound
Limited ground strikes with a 10-count pacing system. If action stalls, fighters are stood up.
